MY JOURNEY

Naresh Kumar’s journey into photography initially sprouted from his fascination with fashion photography, later branching out to embrace documentary photography. His artistic ventures work as personal reflections, mirroring facets of his character, emotions, and inner musings. Projects like documenting the Rabari Tribes, capturing the need of the Living Desert, and recording the energetic life of New York’s Yellow Taxi have been windows into his soul.

Photography projects are more than a collection of pictures and recollection of the city’s serendipities and randomness. Within each captured frame, my essence breathes life, for I invest a part of my soul into every click of the camera’s shutter.

As you turn the images of the New York taxi project, New York skyline or tribes of Rajasthan (India) you will experience my journey, my struggles, and triumphs. Capturing the timeless, never-sleeping city of New York has allowed me to discover what it is to be an artist, because it gave me the chance to walk out from every challenge and moments of self-doubt. I flourished in the embrace of this project’s evolution. Understand that art transcends the chase of mere aesthetically pleasing images or the transient attraction of fame’s ephemeral touch; it’s about a burning passion deep within the soul that compels us to create.

THE MAGIC OF NYC

New York possesses an unparalleled magic, setting it apart from every metropolis worldwide. It stands as an icon, a collective dream painted against the reality.

The nights here unfurl a harmony of hues, each street corner a bright stroke of colors that fascinate any pair of eyes that pause to behold its sight. Lost in the urban poetry, I often dissolve into the surroundings, becoming a mere observer absorbed in the sheer beauty that envelops me.

In these moments, I am compelled to contemplate the stories intertwined within these cityscapes. New York, a melting pot of tastes, cultures, thoughts, and emotions, extends an open invitation to all. It entices meto narrate the tales of its iconic places, to chronicle the amalgamation of its past seamlessly intertwining with its present.

Engaged in extensive, long-term photographic attempts, Naresh hunt through into questioning historical narratives. His body of work navigates the intricacies of communities, the interplay between individuals, places, and the environment, unravelling the complex of human connections.
