My photography project presents an exploration into the profound essence of New York City’s iconic cabs.
Like enigmatic vessels, these captivating vehicles embody a multitude of untold narratives from their drivers and passengers, transcending conventional boundaries of photography by intertwining millions of parallel histories that unfold simultaneously.
The night air was cool as I stood at Liberty State Park, camera in hand, staring across the Hudson River. The World Trade Center glowed in the distance, standing tall against a deep blue sky speckled with stars. The water stretched out in front of me, smooth and still, reflecting the city lights like a perfect mirror. It was like the skyline and the river were having a quiet conversation, each one shining back at the other.
The Freedom Tower stood out, its lights glowing like a beacon in the night, anchoring the entire scene. Everything felt connected—the sky, the water, the buildings—all wrapped in the same perfect shade of blue. The stars seemed to belong there, as if they had been waiting for this exact moment to show up.
I knelt to line up my shot, feeling the hum of the city even in the stillness. The reflections rippled gently, like the Hudson itself was breathing along with Manhattan

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
The El Dorado, with its twin towers standing resolute against the skyline, is a muse for endless exploration. Each photograph, each frame, reveals something new—a shift in light, a different mood, a story waiting to be told. Over thousands of shots, from hundreds of angles, the building continues to surprise, to inspire. It’s a masterpiece of design, timeless and alive, transforming with the sun’s arc and the city’s pulse.
For this particular image, I leaned into the drama. Hard light was my tool—a deliberate choice to sculpt the building’s sharp edges and amplify its intricate details. In high-contrast black and white, the crown of The El Dorado becomes almost otherworldly, its bold geometry leaping from the frame. The hard lines demand attention, yet the softness of the film adds a tactile quality, grounding the image in the timelessness of analog photography.
The point of view here is deliberate, chosen to emphasize dimension and create a dynamic sense of presence. It’s more than a portrait of architecture—it’s an emotional encounter. The El Dorado, in this light, feels monumental, and its character intensified. This is what makes photographing it an endless joy—its ability to transform and transcend, to be as much a subject of the city as the city itself.
